Our Trip to Sandridge Nature Center

In September 2011 my dad and I went to the Sandridge Nature Center to explore it's animals and plant life.  We went into the small buildling and we saw a frog, snakes, crayfish. The two snakes we saw were and a Garter snake and a Westren Fox Snake(elaphe vulpina)It was great since snakes are one of my favorite animals. I also liked the frog we saw before we looked at the bullsnakes. We looked at the big one first then we looked at the smaller one. I countined to look at the big bullsnake and then went out side. flow

We then saw the garden and the plantlife. We did see a butterfly  on a flower but it was too fast for me to take a picture of. We took pictures of the typesof flower. Then we  went back inside and read about the native people who used to be here before the white man came and destoryed their culture. It's really sad that happened and it's really shaemful. We then saw more reptiles behind the building.and we saw info on which animal tracks belong to what animal species. We then went back in the building and I looked at the animals for a while then we left to go home.

What this has taught me is that nature is full of amazing wonders and creatures and that humans must stop and think about what they are doing to nature. Every creature has a role to play in this world.
